Winner!

Random.org randomly randomized the number 3. Which is a little odd because that is the number it generated on my last post. Crazy. The moral of this story is that, on my next giveaway, you should make sure you're the third comment.

Congratulations

Chex Party Mix-Changes & A Giveaway

Chex Party Mix-Changes & A Giveaway

Chex Mix.

I can remember eating it by the fistful at my grandparents' house when I was a kid. Usually I picked around the peanuts and the Wheat Chex because I was a bigger fan of the pretzels and the Corn Chex but I'm pretty sure that I spent many a holiday hovering around the Chex Mix bowl.

Now, they're having Chex Party Mix-Changes where, instead of cookies, people bring all different kinds of Chex mixes.

Yum.

I'm totally thinking of having one as soon as my Christmas schedule eases up. Since I'm married to a pastor, this doesn't usually happen until after Christmas. No biggie. There's nothing that says Chex Mix is limited to the holidays. In fact, I'm pretty sure that when they started bagging the stuff and selling it in the grocery store, the good makers of the stuff were saying, "This is more than just a Christmas treat!"

If you're interested in throwing your own Chex Party Mix-Change, you can go here for recipes and you can follow these easy instructions:

How to throw the ultimate Sam´s Club Chex Party Mix-Change:

· Set the date and spread the word. Announce your Chex Party Mix-Change using some of thesefestive invites

· Mix it up. Use these mouth-watering Chex recipe cards including Chex Pumpkin Pie Crunchand Hot Buttered Yum Chex Mix and this shopping list to make party prep a snap

· Share the fun. Use some of these easy tips & tricks to add some extra flare to your party and check out some of the packaging ideas so your guests don´t go home empty handed

If you don't have time for a party, consider making Chex Mix, using their packaging ideas, and giving it as a gift to your neighbors or coworkers.

Just for telling you about these great parties, Sam's Club, Chex Party Mix and General Mills sent me a giant box containing a package each of Wheat, Rice, and Corn Chex. They also sent me a $25 Sam's Club Gift Card.

And guess what, they're going to give one of my readers the same prize pack! Who can't use cereal? Whether you want to make Chex Mix or just pour some milk over your favorite kind, I think we can all agree that free cereal is always a good thing. And even if you're some weirdo who doesn't like Chex, I'm pretty sure you like free money!

Wanna win?

Here's how:
1. Leave a comment. Tell me which recipe from the Party Mix-Change you want to try?

For extra opportunities to win:

2. Share the giveaway on your blog. Make sure to link back to my blog and leave your blog address in the comment section.

$25 Giveaway!!!

I love a good giveaway, don't you? I love a giveaway for a good cause even more! Of course I was thrilled when MyBlogSpark contacted me with a $25.00 giveaway on behalf of Sam's Club and General Mills.

As all of you probably (hopefully) know, October is breast cancer awareness month. First of all, before we get to the giveaway excitement, you should know a few details about how you can help support breast cancer research.

For 5 years, General Mills has partnered with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Foundation to bring breast cancer support to local communities, and this year they are making their annual donation of $2 million to the foundation to advance breast cancer research and support education and community outreach projects.

Currently, Sam's Clubs stores are featuring exclusive pink packaging on participating General Mills products. You can purchase specially-marked General Mills products at your local Sam’s Club and help decide how half of that contribution will be donated by voting at PinkTogether.com from now until April 14, 2012.

So if you have a Sam's Club card, you can donate to cancer research simply by purchasing the products you probably already eat.

One lucky reader will receive a Sam's Club Pink Promotion Prize containing a $25.00 Sam's Club gift card. Even if you don't have a Sam's Club card, enter this giveaway anyway and, if you win, you can donate it to someone who does.

Here's how to enter (Six chances to win):

1. Leave a comment here. Let me know, in your comment, which General Mills products you'd be excited to see in special pink packaging.

For more opportunities to win:
2. Share the giveaway on your blog. Make sure to link back to my blog and leave your blog address in the comment section.
3. Become a follower of this blog. (Already a follower? You get an entry for that too!) Let me know in a SEPARATE comment.
4. Become a follower of Livin' in a Fishbowl. (Already a follower? You get an entry for that too!) Let me know in a SEPARATE comment.
5. Grab my button for your blog (if you already have it, please make sure the code is updated to reflect the current button). Leave your blog address in a SEPARATE comment.
6. Follow me on twitter: @lori_fishbowl

This contest will end on Saturday, October 1 at 6:00 pm MST. A winner will be selected at random and announced on this blog. The winner will then have 24 hours to contact me with a mailing address or another winner will be selected. Please be sure to check back!

Ebeanstalk.com Review

Are you a mom or a dad? Are you a grandparent, an aunt, an uncle, or a family friend? Is there a snot nosed, knee high, whippersnapper in your life? (Or, you know, a different synonym for "child" that maybe doesn't come from the 1920's.) Have you discovered ebeanstalk? If you haven't, you are seriously missing out and need to head over to their website immediately. Whether you are looking for Toys for a 2 year old or something to entertain a 12 year old, Ebeanstalk is designed to meet all your needs.

Affordable prices and navigational ease of their website make shopping for birthdays or Christmas incredibly simple--and fun. Both of my boys go crazy over all kinds of puzzles and books. The ebeanstalk website has an incredible selection of both and they have a recommended age for each item. I really enjoy the fact that you can browse by category, age, brand, top sellers, etc. There are so many incredible choices for age appropriate gifts.

I'm living in a testosterone filled world. In our home, it's all the boys against me. Sometimes I find myself wondering what to get for little girls when we are invited to birthday parties. I love that I can shop for 2 year old gifts or 5 year old gifts by gender if I want to and I love that ebeanstalk selects only a few of the thousands of age group toys to make it on their website. A team of child-experts makes these selections and guarantees the child's fun.

If, like me, your child has a birthday coming up
or if (again like me) you like to start Christmas shopping in June so that you can avoid the malls from October-January, head over to ebeanstalk now. Currently, you can receive free shipping if your order is $75.00 or more. It's a great time to stock up! You can also send a gift e-card or sign up for birthday reminders. Ebeanstalk also offers an Expert Advice section which has many links to articles related to child development written by doctors, occupational therapists and physical therapists.

Head over to ebeanstalk.com and discover a world where shopping for children is made easier. I guarantee that you'll find something your child will love. If you can't come up something, ask my boys. They want everything.
